Hungarian distributor, Cedrus, has confirmed its attendance to the second Retail Connect event after adding one vendor from the first event and finalising agreement with a second.
The 3-day event will connect around 490 participants from 70 countries across the EMEA region that include buyers (retailers, distributors) sellers, media and partners in the consumer technology and smart home sectors.
With over 60 distribution rights and 40+ sub-distributions, Cedrus is very active in IT system integration and the online retail segment for 20 years. 2020, according to Matyas Say, Business Development Manager, Cédrus, was a very successful year for the company with a surge in demand for IT products, especially home-office related items in the online channel.
Say added, “We had to find new sources to be able to keep the step with the increased demand and put more effort into proper logistics (delivery and warehouse). However, we are working on new opportunities, opening new brands and channels as always.
In 2021, we are expecting a good year again, but in the background we are watching and trying to manage the supply shortages, logistic issues, and cost increases.”
According to Say, Channel Hub’s Retail Connect is a “very good opportunity for developing vendor relationships” and the distributor plans on attending all future events from Channel Hub
