Swiss wholesale distributor. Alltron has confirmed it is returning to Retail Connect, the online buyer-seller meet for the consumer electronics sector scheduled for 2-4 March 2021. Founded in 1985, Alltron supplies Swiss information technology and consumer electronics retailers as well as serves resellers in the telecommunications and electrical engineering sectors.
Patrik Schoepfer of Alltron, said, “The first one was very good and I liked the mix of product presentation and one-to-one meetings. We are looking forward to meeting new suppliers to connect with at the second event.”
Like a lot of companies around the world, Alltron had to change their business habits with the pandemic. According to Schoefer, while they registered a massive increase in online orders, it had a huge impact on service level and delivery speeds because of supply bottlenecks for equipment from China.
Schoepfer added, “We built a task force which acted as a crisis intervention and communication hub within the company. We strengthened our logistics dept. massively and optimized our processes to pick up speed again. We did some hybrid and virtual events and customer visits instead of live events and meetings in person.”
The company is continuously evaluating its business processes as it expands and sets up and on-boards new vendors in their portfolio.
